Those words echoed in her heart as she walked towards her room. Something about those words and the voice that spoke them struck her to the core. She could almost swear she knew that voice... and the sadness in it caused her heart to ache.
It had been dark, and she couldn't see who had said it, but the kiss had been tender and gentle. They echoed a passion and caring that the other had longed to share with her for years, but for some reason never was able to.
